I think that being rude seems to a big pride today. People ignore others because they have more power and knowledge. We can find these unkind figures anywhere easily. It is not only reading in newspapers, but also in our homes and churches. It would be nice if everyone was kind, but it is not. It is also true that we live in an age when we feel like being a fool is becoming a kind person.
The Lord taught us to be meek. The Lord has given us this teaching because we may not be meek. It is not easy for us to be meek. If it was easy for us to be meek, then the Bible didn’t emphasize such teaching. But the Lord told us to be meek because it is necessary for a man to live like a human that God created. It is also one of the most important virtues that Christians on earth should gain. It is true that there is a perception that Christians are rude.
2.
What does it mean to be meek? Other Bible versions have been translated as kindness. In other words, love can be said to be kind. The long-suffering is internal character and meekness is external character. Therefore, kindness is very active love. And kindness has a very powerful force.
It is more effective when you treat people kindly than to threaten to correct any mistakes. Politicians are like those who know this better than anyone. Do you know what the politicians are trying to give a message during the election period? 'I am a kind and humble person.' They show their kindness as much as they can and humble acceptance of what other people say. During the election period, they will never show their strength or act rude. Because they know that kindness is powerful. That is why it is said to be kind. Even if we look at it in such a way, we should be impressed. How impressed we are if we meet true love! Love is kindness.
It is kind to show the way to the person who is lost. It is also kind of giving food to those who are hungry. Give kindness to someone. The Lord will bless you.

The Lord said to us,
'Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.' (Matthew 5:5)
Blessed are those who are meek. The blessing is to take the earth as an award.
The Lord also said to us,
‘Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle (kind) and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. (Matt. 11:29). "
The Lord is kind. And if you take the yoke with the Lord and learn the Lord, you have a rest in your heart. What would happen if the Lord was not gentle? I imagine a lot of terrible things happened. Whenever we did something bad, the Lord would be angry and punished whenever we sin. Therefore, it is fortunate for us that our Lord is meek.
Another thing, the Lord has promised us is that we can learn meekness from the Lord. What we must learn from the Lord is kindness.
3.
"Love is patient, love is kind." The verse is well expressed in I Peter 2:23.
‘When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly.’ (1 Peter 2:23).
The part where you can see the Lord's long-suffering is "when they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate.” The part in which 'suffered but not threatened' is kind. ‘Kindness’ refers to "do not take revenge even if you suffered. Thus, we can see that the place where the Lord's patience and gentleness appear simultaneously is the cross. That's why the Lord's cross is love.
Can we live as Lord? If it is a life of love.
If you look at Jesus' public life, you can see how kind Jesus is.
Jesus attended the wedding party of one person. However, the wine used in the wedding ceremony was exhausted. Mary, the mother of Jesus, told him that the wine has run out. Without wine, the atmosphere of the feast would surely cold. Do you know what the Lord has done for the party? He made more delicious wine than any wine used in the feast. He is kind to one person.
The scene has changed. A group of excited people have dragged the woman who was caught in adultery. People said that such people should be killed. Then Jesus begun to write something on the floor of the road. And in a little while he said: 'The innocent is the first to strike.' Then the people who took the stone to kill the woman left one by one. And in the square, Jesus and the woman remained. Jesus did not condemn the woman. Instead, Jesus told her not to do that again. And she left. The Lord has given the woman great kindness.
The Lord is still kind to us. Because He is love.
4.
What the Lord wants us to do is to be kind and to live like Him. Our nature may sting for kindness, but see the Lord and experience the kindness He has shown us and follow it. Christians are people who imitate the Lord.
I read a book by David R. Hamilton, titled "If I am happy, everyone is happy." In this book, various experimental results are summarized. Some of these experiments are related to kindness. The purpose of the experiment is to find out whether the 'kindness is transmitted?' Will kindness be transmitted?
There is a TV program called Brave Lassie. The brave Lassie movie is a loyal and courageous dog Lassie saving people from danger.
The experiment divided the children into two groups and then showed the entire movie to a group that included the scene where Lassies owner saved the puppy. The other group showed the movie that this scene deleted. After showing the movie, the children played the game. Then, suddenly in the middle of the game, they heard the puppy’s sound. If child goes to help the puppy, one can lose the game. What was the choice of the children?
Children who saw a movie that included a rescuing puppy ran to save the puppy much more quickly than the children who saw the movie that the scene deleted. This is an example that shows that kindness can also be transmitted. Through many other experiments, David demonstrated that kindness can affect others.
He also showed that one kindness result in another kindness. Our kindness has a very positive influence on others.
As I read the book, it became clear what Christians should show in the world. That is kindness. We should show that Christian is kind.
The same is true of what the Lord have said to us. The kind person is blessed. Showing kindness is to express love. Our kindness can have a positive impact on others so that they can also live with kindness.
The Lord showed us the first example. The disciples also followed the example of the Lord. And now he is asking us to live according to the Lord. Love is patient and love is kind. To live, we need the power of love. We can fight with the wicked world by the love.
And the Lord is telling us very specifically what love is. That is, we live in kindness.
Abraham Joshua Hessel said: "When I was a child I admired a smart person, but now I am old and I respect a kind person."
The kindness of those who help someone at the expense of self is beyond touching and will be respected by others. That's true. Amen!
What about you? Have you ever been helped by someone when you are in tough? Or have you ever helped those who are in trouble? I have received so much of that kindness. And every time I received that kindness, I was grateful. And I have a confession of a man named Tony Robbins.
There is a man named Tony Robbins. This was when Tony was 11 years old. At that time, his family was very poor. It was Thanksgiving, but there was nothing to eat at home. At that time, someone knocked the door. At that moment, his parents were hurting because of the difficult family situation. So, Tony had to see who knocked the door. At the door, a big man was standing with a box of food and a turkey. The person said that it was a Thanksgiving gift. It was kindness to the poor Tony family without any conditions. It was a memorable event for Tony.
Tony said, "Even strangers worry about our family, and I promised myself that I would look after people I do not know. When he became 17 years old, he could keep his promise first time. Tony said that he delivered food box as he pretended a post officer. It was a food box for Latino women. She said that three days ago, the husband left and there was no money or food at the time. There were five children in the house. When Tony delivered the food box as a gift to her, she was overjoyed, shouted, hugged Tony and kissed. And as she was crying, and said to Tony, “it is a gift from God!' It was the reason that Tony continued to distribute food boxes.
He did this for 30 years. Tony said that he built an international food box organization and delivering food boxes to families who need help in dozens of countries around the world. The little kindness of a man who has been taught by an 11-year-old Tony has completely changed Tony's life. Love has changed the life of one person. This is the power of love.
Love is gentle. Love is kindness. It is natural to give kindness to a loved one. What is the story of the Samaritan in the parable of Jesus? The story is about the kindness of the Samaritans who gave them unconditionally to those who met robbers. The Lord has said this as an example of love of neighbor.
Please show kindness to others without any reason. You must be kind to yourself. It is a small kindness. It is good to open the door for others. Then it will change our environment. The Lord wants us to be kind that changes the world in the name of the Lord.
Kindness is contagious. If we are kind, our children will also be changed. Our homes will be changed, our church will be changed, and the society we live in will be changed.
We should look at the kindness that the Lord has shown us, and we can live in imitation of Him. That is because the world we live in becomes warm. I hope that we will not be disappointed by ourselves, and we will live according to the Lord. So, I hope that the same evaluation as Moses got will be our evaluation.
'This man Moses was meeker than all the people of the earth.' (Numbers 12: 3)
Love is patient and love is kind. If we live according to the words of the Lord, our lives will be changed. Although we are not a person of love, we will become a person of love. Just as the Lord’s love has transformed us, our little love transforms our homes, our churches and our societies. We love each other. That's it. Amen!
